The Role (Key Responsibilities)
Leads maintenance of heavy machinery with expertise in PLCs, control systems, and hydraulics.
Ensures safe, efficient operations through troubleshooting, preventive routines, and teamwork in a 24/7 industrial environment.
The Person (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills)
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics preferred) from a recognized university.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, with at least 3 years specifically in container handling equipment maintenance or similar heavy machinery.
Prior experience in a port or container terminal environment is highly desirable.
Skills
Technical: Solid understanding on PLCs, drives, electrical control systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
Practical: Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical and control system faults in heavy machinery and familiarity with OEM manuals and preventive maintenance routines.
Soft Skills:
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team under time-critical conditions.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to industry safety standards.
