Job Title
MANAGER – SECURITY
The company is looking for a result-oriented, self-motivated male to fill this position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement security strategies to protect company assets, employees, and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Supervise and coordinate security operations across the Kerawalapitiya LPG Terminal & Filling Plant, including managing in-house security staff and outsourced service providers.
Ensure robust surveillance and access control by overseeing 24/7 monitoring of CCTV, alarms, fire protection systems, and security entry to sensitive zones such as LPG storage tanks and cylinder yards.
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in LPG storage, operations, and distribution, and implement corrective measures to mitigate threats.
Establish strong relationships with authorities by maintaining close coordination with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and emergency services to ensure compliance and rapid response to critical incidents.
Lead emergency preparedness and crisis management by developing response procedures, conducting drills (Tier I, II & III), and ensuring fire and emergency systems remain fully operational.
Investigate security incidents and breaches thoroughly, prepare detailed reports, and promote a strong security-conscious culture through staff training and awareness programs.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 10 years' experience in industrial, military, or corporate security management, preferably within the petroleum, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
Demonstrated experience in managing security for large-scale, high-risk industrial facilities.
Strong knowledge of security systems, access control, contingency planning, surveillance, and emergency response procedures.
Proven ability to lead teams, perform under pressure, conduct drills, and coordinate with government and security agencies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and crisis management skills.
A retired senior officer from the Armed Forces/Police or with a similar background will be an added advantage.
The selected candidate must not have been convicted of any criminal offence by a court of law in Sri Lanka, nor dismissed from the Armed Forces or Police on disciplinary grounds.
