Role Overview
Vallibel One PLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead and secure execution of premium retail showrooms across Sri Lanka, reflecting the brand's identity and customer experience excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead the full design process for new retail showrooms, from concept development to final implementation, ensuring alignment with brand identity, customer flow, and functionality.
Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, layouts, and 3D visuals that translate the brand vision into exceptional physical spaces.
Manage showroom renovation, display design, and spatial optimization for existing outlets to enhance customer engagement and product visibility.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and project management teams to ensure cohesive brand presentation.
Source, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and material suppliers for interior finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
Oversee design projects from concept to completion, managing timelines, deliverables, and collaboration with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct site visits to oversee project execution and maintain design integrity from concept to completion.
Stay up to date with global design trends, innovative retail technologies, materials, and sustainable practices relevant to modern retail environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from a recognized university.
Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of retail showroom design projects (experience with luxury or lifestyle brands preferred).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3DS Max, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
Strong understanding of space planning, lighting design, materials, color theory, ergonomics, and customer journey mapping in retail environments.
Excellent presentation and communicative skills with the ability to articulate design concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in vendor coordination, project costing, and managing multiple design projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with creative precision, attention to detail, and high standards of professionalism.
