Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Agriculture from any one of the schools of agriculture under the Department of Agriculture.
Experience: Minimum of $10$ years of post-qualifying experience either in the food processing industry or agriculture extension services, or both.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily processing operations and ensuring products are made efficiently and hygienically while adhering to strict food quality standards. Key duties include:
Oversee daily production operations at the processing center.
Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Maintain operational efficiency and productivity.
Provide strong leadership and people management to ensure smooth operations.
Visit and build relationships with the farmer community from whom produce will be procured.
Advise farmers on good agricultural practices and support them in improving productivity.
Ensure the quality of produce delivered meets company standards.
