Role Summary
The Merchandiser role is a full-time, on-site position located in Katunayake. DialTex, with over 40 years of heritage, specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing men's and women's wear for international brands.
Responsibilities
The key duties for the Merchandiser include:
Closely monitoring key activities in the customer calendar and planning subsequent internal actions to meet customer expectations and delivery timelines.
Ensuring the adequate availability of raw material stocks, managing inventory effectively, and providing accurate, timely, and complete procurement data.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and negotiating prices to procure raw materials of the required quality and quantity at the most competitive terms.
Ensuring smooth order management by implementing a time-and-action plan for all related activities and sharing regular updates with relevant stakeholders.
Addressing production-related issues promptly by coordinating with relevant technical personnel to minimize losses.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
A Professional qualification in Merchandising.
1–2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
The ability to be an effective team player.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
