☕ Job Vacancy: Storekeeper - For a New Cafe (Restaurant)
The company is seeking a highly organized and proactive Storekeeper to manage the setup phase and handle daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Opening Responsibilities (Setup Phase)
Receive, log, and track all and any incoming equipment, and supplies.
Maintain a clear, updated inventory of every item delivered to the site.
Coordinate with contractors, builders, designers, and the operations team to ensure each stakeholder receives required items on time.
Keep the site organized and prevent any loss, misplacement, or mix-ups.
Assist the stakeholders with procurement follow-ups during the setup period.
2. Operational Responsibilities (Daily Operations)
Identify daily needs with the back-of-office manager, prepare purchase requests for approval, coordinate with suppliers, and manage deliveries.
Receive goods, verify expiry, quality, and quantity, log items, and store them properly.
Issue ingredients and consumables on schedule, maintain issuing logs, and replenish items as needed.
Keep the store clean and organized, update stock levels, monitor shortages/overstock, balance daily stock, and prepare next-day requirements.
Required Qualifications
Minimum GCE O/L or A/L (high school diploma or equivalent).
Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Email).
Ability to prepare and maintain stock records and reports.
Awareness of food safety, handling, and storage procedures.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory handling.
Experience in receiving, issuing, and dispatching goods.
Preferred (not mandatory): Diploma/Certificate in Storekeeping, Inventory Management, Logistics.
Added Advantage: Exposure to the restaurant, retail, or manufacturing industry.
