Position and Employer
Position: Senior Accountant.
Location: Angola.
Employer: A leading steel manufacturing company in Angola.
Role Summary: A detail-oriented and proactive role requiring strong accounting expertise, sound tax knowledge, and the ability to provide management with timely financial insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Compliance: Supervise day-to-day accounting, finalize financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet), manage statutory audits, and ensure legal compliance.
Finance & Treasury: Manage working capital, daily cash flow, fund-raising, banking relationships, and project financing.
MIS & Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate MIS on cash flow, budgets, stock, debtor/creditor ageing, and competitor pricing. Provide variance analysis with action plans.
Costing: Oversee production costing process and ensure high cost accuracy.
Taxation: Prepare and file Indirect Tax returns, Income Tax returns, and effectively manage all statutory tax compliances.
Process & Controls: Develop and implement SOPs across departments, strengthen internal controls, and streamline processes.
Commercial & Inventory: Oversee stores and inventory management, ensure ethical and economic use of resources, and support day-to-day commercial activities.
Business Partnership: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and reports to support management in decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Qualification: Full / Part professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA or CA.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector, including at least 2 years in a similar managerial role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems is essential (Preferable with Lighthouse ERP).
Soft Skills: Strong integrity, accuracy, and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; team player with excellent communication and quick learning ability; high ethical standards.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: USD 1,500 to 2,000 per Month.
