CORPORATE LEGAL MANAGER
Are you a legal professional with a passion for financial services and corporate law? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Corporate Legal to join our growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring legal compliance and supporting our strategic goals.
The Job
Ensure full compliance with financial sector regulations, including CBSL, SEC and other relevant regulatory bodies
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including loan agreements, vendor contracts and service agreements
Manage legal disputes, coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary
Identify legal risks across business functions and implement effective mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests
Offer sound legal advice to senior management to support decision-making and sustainable business growth
The Person
10–15 years of legal practice in the banking or NBFI sector, with exposure to corporate, commercial and regulatory law
Should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and a Master’s Degree (LL.M., MBA in Business Law, or Corporate Governance) is preferred
Prior experience as a senior legal counsel or in a managerial role within a corporate environment
Strong track record in contract negotiation, compliance, litigation management and corporate governance
