💼 Role Description
John Wilson Partners is seeking a Junior Lawyer to join its Litigation team. The role involves supporting the Managing Principle and other Senior Lawyers in the litigation practice, which includes:
Civil litigation
Conducting legal research
Drafting legal documents
Participating in client meetings
Assisting in case preparation and strategy development
The role requires willingness to appear in outstation courts as necessary.
✅ Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney.
Hold a notarial license in English.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate within the litigation team on complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
Independently manage client correspondence and provide sound legal advice.
Engage with contractors, clients, and third parties, ensuring professionalism and strong communication.
Required Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with a focus on precision and professionalism.
Analytical skills and sound judgment to contribute effectively to case strategies.
Working knowledge of criminal law procedures, especially experience in appearing at Magistrates' Courts, is a plus.
Interpersonal skills that enable effective teamwork and collaboration.
Legal research, legal drafting, and case preparation skills.
Knowledge of civil litigation and commercial law.
Bar Association membership and a Company Secretarial License is a plus.
