Finance Executive

Company: Ben Holdings (Pvt) Limited.
Industry: Diverse group engaged in Media, Entertainment, Retail, and Broadcasting in Sri Lanka.
Brand Names: Swarnavahini, Swarnamahal Jewellers, EAP Films & Theatres, Hotel Sapphire, and EAP Securities.
Role: Finance Executive (The position is for EAP Films & Theatres).
Core Purpose: Managing financial data, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company's financial health.

Process vendor invoices, expense claims, and payment requests accurately and on time.
Verify invoices against Purchase Orders, contracts, and delivery notes.
Maintain vendor records and reconcile supplier statements regularly.
Prepare payment runs (cheques, bank transfers, online payments) in line with company policies.
Monitor accounts payable aging and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment or invoice issues.
Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or a part qualification in CIMA, ACCA, or CA Sri Lanka.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar finance role.
Technical Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience in cost control and management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge and hands-on experience of SAP is a must.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
