Senior Lecturer (Grade II)
Lecturer
Work Location: Meegoda, Padukka.
Requirements for Senior Lecturer (Grade II)
Education:
A bachelor's (Hons) degree (Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering) awarded by a recognized University.
AND
A PhD in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
Experience (WITH PhD): At least six (06) years of experience in one or more of the following:
Teaching at University Level.
Professional experience.
Research in a recognized Institution.
Requirements for Lecturer
Education:
A bachelor's (Hons) degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with First Class or Second-Class Upper Division, awarded by a recognized university.
AND
A two-year Master’s Degree with a research component in the relevant domain.
Experience: At least six (06) years of experience in one or more of the following:
Teaching at University Level.
Industry experience.
Research in a recognized Institution.
Key Skills & Additional Requirements (For Both Positions)
Strong research background with publications in high-impact journals.
Expertise in robotics, automation, control systems, embedded systems, or industrial IoT.
Ability to supervise student research projects and thesis work.
Industry experience and professional affiliations (e.g., AMIEM(SL), IEEE, IMeche) will be considered as added advantages.
The Role (Duties)
Develop & deliver engaging course materials.
Foster a collaborative learning environment through engaging & interactive classroom activities.
Work closely with the department Head to create industry learning opportunities and exposure for students.
Introduce and suggest innovative learning techniques to inspire and motivate stu
dents. Participate in departmental meetings and student support activities.
