Position: Senior Accountant
Company: Variosystems (Pvt) Limited
Company Description: Variosystems is a global electronics services platform offering end-to-end solutions from product design to complete electronic assemblies and services, including engineering, customer support, and manufacturing.
Location: Sri Lanka facility (Head office address listed as: Nelumwatta, Kotadeniyawa Road, 11538 Badalgama, Sri Lanka).
📝 Key Responsibilities
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
General Ledger Accounting: Record, review, and reconcile all general transactions to ensure accurate financial statements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices, vendor payments, customer invoices, and ensure timely collection and payment.
Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including accruals and reconciliations.
VAT/Sales Tax & Tax Compliance: Prepare and review VAT/Sales Tax/Tax declaration, filings, and support compliance with local tax regulations and internal policies.
Supporting Reporting & Controls: Assist with financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and ensure proper documentation and archiving.
✅ Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
Education: Fully / Partially qualified in ICASL/ACCA/CIMA.
Experience: A BSc / Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in an audit firm OR 5 years experience in a mercantile sector.
Financial Skills: Strong knowledge in Financial Accounting.
IT Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, with a particular expertise in Excel.
Language: Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
General Skills:
Ability to manage multiple assignments independently with minimum supervision.
Should be a dynamic professional with excellent communication and analytical skills.
Advantage: Hands-on experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
