Role: Microbiologist
The company is looking for a passionate, results-driven professional to join the team, a leader in premium coconut-based products.
Responsibility:
The Microbiologist will be responsible for quality assurance, testing, and compliance with food safety standards. Key duties include:
Conducting routine microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products (including coconut oil, coconut milk, and coconut water).
Performing environmental monitoring and swab testing on production equipment and surfaces for sanitation and hygiene standards.
Preparing and maintaining all testing media, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of test results and media usage for traceability.
Assisting in product investigations and root cause analysis for microbiological quality issues.
Developing, validating, and updating microbiological testing protocols in accordance with international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP and ISO 22000).
Collaborating with the Quality Assurance Manager and production team to implement and monitor corrective actions.
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education: A Bachelor's in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year Proven experience working in a food production or export-oriented manufacturing environment.
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of food microbiology, including testing procedures for common foodborne pathogens.
Experience with and a strong understanding of international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High level of attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
