Candidate Profile (Requirements)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university and Attorney-at-Law qualification.
Experience: Minimum $3-5$ years of experience in the criminal law practice.
Knowledge: Sound knowledge of company law, securities regulations, and anti money laundering regulations.
Skills:
Strong communication, analytical, and drafting skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the company and attend to regulatory inquiries.
Be a Notary Public, duly authorized to practice.
Represent the Company in Magistrate Court and High Court on any criminal cases and assist the company in preparation of documents for submission to Court.
Liaise with enforcement agencies on handling complaints, statement recordings or legal action instituted by and against the company.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that impact the company and the Group companies.
Assist with the implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering programme of the company.
Coordinate with external counsel on litigation and other legal matters when necessary.
