Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy: Responsible for the execution and development of branch business activity plan aligned with branch Life Insurance business strategies.
Sales & Revenue: Achieve the set revenue targets for Life Insurance businesses by focusing and directing a result-oriented sales team.
Reporting: Branch Manager will directly report to the respective Regional Manager-Life.
Operations: Responsible for overall sales, underwriting, claims and administration functions of the branch.
Service Standards: Drive the respective branch to meet the required service standards through efficient and effective utilization of human capital and other resources.
Marketing: Implement effective promotional campaigns by identifying potentials of the respective branch areas.
Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate performance of all Grade Leaders, Team Leaders, and Advisors.
HR & Training: Ensure the manpower requirement of the respective branch and their training & development needs are fulfilled.
Relationships: Maintain a professional relationship with key business personnel, business organizations, and government/private organizations and insurance intermediaries.
Functional Support: Facilitate and ensure smooth functioning of sales and non-sales teams.
Market Analysis: Perform market analysis and surveys of competitor business activities, products and behavior.
Qualifications/Pre-requisites/Requirements
Education:
Degree/Master Degree in Business Management from a UGC approved university
OR Fully or part qualification in Insurance/ SLIM/ CIM (diploma or Postgraduate diploma in a managerial discipline)
with minimum 05 years’ experience and presently in Executive grade or above.
Experience (Alternative):
Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales, underwriting operations and presently in Executive grade or above.
Leadership & Skills:
A self-driven leader with excellent communication skills which includes Sinhala / Tamil & English and a pleasing personality.
1 Proven capability of building effective interpersonal relationships.
2 Clear and continuous track record in performance.

Age: Preferably below 45
4 years.
